Success depends on our ability and confidence to try new things; to put ourselves out there, to take a risk and to be resilient enough to bounce back when things don’t go to plan. The Oxford dictionary defines risk as a ‘situation involving exposure to danger’. History is littered with a roll-call of great entrepreneurs who have gone bankrupt, been rejected, had to start again... but those same - great – entrepreneurs developed resilience from their endeavours. They realised that in order to succeed and to reap the rewards of successful business, they had to bounce back, dust themselves down and keep going. But most of all they realised they had to keep taking risks!

Taking risks is the key factor in developing as a person – and in developing a business. Overcoming the fear of what negative outcome MIGHT occur if you do; replacing it with the positive attitude of what COULD happen if you do!

Becoming confident enough – and trusting ourselves – to take risks requires work, but the impact this can have on you, and thus your business – and your income – can be spectacular; your approach to your work becomes more measured and you feel more confident to take the calculated risks necessary to grow your business. You start to trust yourself, believe in yourself and you start making the right decisions to grow your business, grow yourself and live your dreams; WHATEVER they are.
